Upon requesting a tracking code for the 20′ container carrying our belongings, we were informed it will not arrive within the 4-6 weeks quoted us by our moving company.
4-6 weeks has turned into 3 months.

We haven’t been given an exact answer as to why such a mistake was made, but we’ve identified a few possibilities:
1) Everyone is moving out of Michigan, and thus the boat will stop in many different neighborhoods all over the world to accommodate the mass exodus.
This is possible.
2) Our moving rep thought New Zealand was in Europe.
Very possible.
3) The boat is being held for ransom.
Slightly possible.
And our empty rental waiting to be filled with furniture?
We’ll be camping on polished wood floors. For 2+ months.
